Description: The intermediate modern calligraphy workshop is designed for those who have taken Angi's beginner class or a similar beginner's modern calligraphy class using an oblique pointed pen. In this workshop, we will dive further into technique and style development, mixing custom colors using gouache, adding flourishes, constructing composition, and troubleshooting tricky materials. Light refreshments are provided and each student will receive a complete set of new calligraphy supplies, curated by Angi, for you to take home for practice. Click here to sign up.
 

How do I know if this class is right for me? If you have taken a beginner class and are comfortable using a pointed pen to create letterforms, or if you've been practicing calligraphy for a while and want to step up your game or learn new techniques to enhance your style and skill, this class if for you! Students of varying levels from just post-beginner to those who have practiced for years have enjoyed the benefits of taking the intermediate workshop, learning new ideas, sharpening skills and discovering new ways to critique and evolve their own work.

Bio: Angi is a graphic designer, calligrapher, and owner of Angelique, Ink, working with clients all over the globe to create uniquely hand lettered pieces for products, events, and branding. She spends much of her time teaching the art of modern calligraphy to people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them discover their own journey with pen, ink, and creative impulse. As a professional calligrapher for the past seven years, her passion for personal expression through handwritten calligraphy, creativity, and the resurrection of the lost art of handwriting has taken her from LA to Sydney and many places in between to guide new students to learn the technique and expression of modern pointed pen calligraphy.
