Macrame + Mimosas Workshop

  • As We Dwell 440 South Alameda Street Los Angeles, CA, 90013 United States (map)

$99
Instructor: Sarah Jung from Faithful Artisans
Location: 440 S. Alameda St. Los Angeles 90013
Description: Fun fact: Macrame comes from a 13th century Arabic weavers' word 'migramah' meaning 'fringe". They were decorative fringes on camels and horses which helped keep the flies off in the hot desert regions of northern Africa. If you're looking to keep the flies away, or you just want to design your own unique wall hanging, all are welcome! Create a piece that can hang as a staple piece in any room. You will learn some basic knots, and this workshop is perfect for anyone interested in learning a new skill or picking up a fun hobby. This is the perfect fit for beginners, those who have never done macrame before or for those who want to freshen up their skills.

We will be serving mimosas at this workshop to celebrate that it's the weekend! All supplies will be included to create your own Macrame wall hanging. There will also be light refreshments, an opportunity to develop wonderful relationships, and time for any questions you may have.
