AWD turns ONE

So much happens in a year, and what an incredible journey it has been! As we transition into our second year of dwelling in the Arts District of DTLA, we are anticipating more growth, more change, and more goodness all around. It has been such a blessing to be able to connect with people from all walks of life and see dreams come to life. Let's keep the good vibes flowing as we move forward into new ventures.

We are most excited about partnering with Justice Rising, and we want to invite you to join us in helping us build an As We Dwell school in war torn Democratic Republic of Congo. We believe when two or more are gathered, we will rise above any circumstances and bring transformative change! Every event booked in our space will be contributing to helping us reach our goal of $50,000 to build a school in Congo. Justice Rising is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) organization that exists to transform war zones through education. They believe that every child has a right to a quality education, and that education is one of the most effective tools for transforming places of conflict and combating extremist ideology. Since 2010, Justice Rising has worked to support communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country that has seen over 5.4 million people killed over the past 20 years. They currently operate seven schools serving over 1,400 students annually. Over the next five years, they aim to build 40 schools in other war-affected communities.
